Delivery Timeframe

The delivery timeframe for an order depends on several factors, including the amount of time it will take Sun to process and ship the order ("Ships Within" time), and the time spent in transit. The time spent in transit can vary significantly depending on the shipping method chosen.

For example, if a product selected states a "Ships Within" time of 3 business days, and the buyer selects 2nd business day air shipment as the shipping method, the product should be received in 5 business days ("Ships Within" time + time in transit).

The Sun SPARC Enterprise M5000 server supports up to eight memory modules. This system ships with four memory modules, leaving four memory module options available for expansion.

I/O Tray

This system ships with one I/O tray. Each I/O tray accommodates two disk drives. An additional I/O tray is required if adding a third and fourth disk drive.

Operating System

A Solaris server RTU license is included with the Sun SPARC Enterprise M5000 server. This server ships standard with Solaris 10 preinstalled. Order a media kit to receive a recovery copy of the operating system.

The Solaris 10 (latest release) kit includes the software on a set of DVDs, plus the Solaris Software Companion, which contains a variety of freeware and open source applications, and Developer Tools. Hardcopy documentation not included and a license is not required.
